Julia Kaminski, also known legally as Julia Staufer-Kaminski aims to visualize her design style in a way that is functional and easy to navigate. She incorporates fashion and ux design while focusing on detailed and intentional placement. She uses red as an accent color to make her designs come to life. Project Overview


Julia Kaminski’s top values are authenticity, balance, love, and order. Authenticity is staying true to yourself, regardless of any pressure to fit in. Balance is being steady and leveled with yourself. Love is well love. Loving who you are and what you do. And, order? Well order holds this whole thing together. 

Challenges


My logo consists of an asterisk sign. The asterisk is an artistic take on a star icon that I use often in a lot of my work. The asterisk resembles part of the letter K, which is symbolic to my stage last name of Kaminski. The logo emphasizes the ideas of minimalism and geometry through the use of minimal elements with sharp edges. Wanting to work in User Experience design, my logo conveys functionality and readability. The asterisk also symbolizes exclusion. This shows that work done by me is different. I pay attention to detail and order in my work. The exclusion represents design as a completely seperate branch of my life, excluding it from my fashion and photography projects.

Results


My primary color palette includes black and white. These colors are are neutral colors that represent balance and opposites, representing flexibility in my design. Red is the main accent color that represents love and bold identity. Red is unapologetic and enthusiastic. The typeface I chose for my personal brand is Helvetica. It is a classic and timeless sans-serif typeface. I used bold, regular, and light oblique throught my work. Patterns play an important role in my personal brand as lines make up a majority of them. To go along with the geometric feel, lines accentuate sharp edges. Lines are also used to add more visual composition and accent details.
